This is a giant pagoda in Xi'an. It is also a temple that attracts many tourists and pilgrims. It just so happens to be in front of Asia's largest fountain show as well.

This restaurant is famed for having the best Yang Rou Po mou, a soup made of lamb meat and mixed with hard rice buns. I gave the soup a try and thought is was good, but a little overrated perhaps.

This small square is where once traders would sell or trade their goods with the locals. Today it is where cultural activities such as concerts, plays, and shows are conducted.

I imagine this door did its job well. Of course the originals have probably been replaced. What you see here is probably a Qing Dynasty replacement, making it a little over a hundred years old. It could also be a newer door. Who knows?

Tourists today can enter the city wall through the south gate. Around the gate of course is a nice little park and other such things as beverage stands and small vendors selling food.

These carriages were put back together after they were discovered in the 1970s. They are miniature in size, because the Qin Shi Huangdi Thought they would be brought back to the afterlife in full size. Kind of strange huh?

These statues/ puppets were made for the Olympics, but haven't been taken down yet. I interpret this as the ancient promise of China holding the future of China today. Or to put it simply, China's continuation of its glorious past.
